This book offers a comprehensive overview of Selldorf Architects, highlighting its museums, residences, and public buildings in the United States and internationally. Founded by Annabelle Selldorf, who was born in Cologne and educated at Pratt Institute and Syracuse University, the firm gained international recognition with the opening of the Neue Galerie New York in 2001. It has since become known for its galleries, cultural institutions, and private homes, as well as projects like Sims Municipal Recycling, which won a Public Design Commission Award for Excellence in Design. In 2014, the firm was selected to design the expansion of the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego.
The book features a conversation between Tom Eccles and Selldorf, an essay by critic Ian Volner, and a full-color portfolio by photographer Todd Eberle. It also presents detailed insights into 30 selected projects, including plans and sketches.
